This is a great recipe if you’re growing some fresh basil in our garden – or are simply in the mood for tasty fresh pesto!

- 2 cups fresh basil leaves
- 1 cup fresh spinach
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 4 cloves minced garlic
- 1/2 cup pine nuts
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:

- Combine the basil and pine nuts in a food processor or blender until a finely chopped texture is created.
- Add garlic and cheese, scraping down the sides with a spatula as needed.
- Add olive oil, mixing in slowly one portion at a time to avoid the oil from separating. Place in a covered container or jar and refrigerate.
- Season with salt and pepper; serve with fresh bread or pasta. Enjoy!
